Lafourche Parish President in 2019.
We can create “Our Lafourche.” Doing so will require vigilant protection of our coast, smart subdivision development, cooperation with levee districts and neighboring parishes to address flood concerns, a government that listens and responds to the needs of residents and business owners, effective communication, a diverse economy, transparency, conservative spending, and a concerted effort by all to create, sustain, and grow our legacy, “Our Lafourche,” with deliberate intention.
What are my qualifications for the job?
I graduated from Central Lafourche High School in 1984 and, as a non-traditional student, went on to earn my BA and MBA from Nicholls State University. I am one of only a handful of Certified Louisiana Economic Developers (CLED) and I also hold the national certification of Professional Community and Economic Developer (PCED).
Prior to being elected to the Lafourche Parish Council in October 2015, I was an appointed member of the City of Thibodaux’s administration as Grants, Economic Development and Communications Director. Experience working in the administrative and legislative branches of government has given me a unique and comprehensive understanding of our local government.
Since January 2016, I have represented District 2 on the Lafourche Parish Council, served as the 2017 Council Vice-Chair and as the 2018 Council Chair.
I’ve been married to Paul Sposito since 1991. We have two sons, Tyler (Ty) and Benjamin (Ben), and two dogs, Sasha and Colonel. We have lived in Chackbay for nearly twenty-two years.
I ask for your support as we begin this exciting new journey together
and I ask for your vote on November 16, 2019. (Early voting for the General Election is Nov. 2nd -9th.)
